Black Marks On My Lcd Screen

I want a world in color!

For Anna, a 'teacher
true to its mission
and a dream to shine ...
seven days to submit a resolution to develop it in committee, to discuss and approve at the meeting. Over 200 young people from 16 different European countries participated, 7 to 14 February in Turin, the second edition dell'Erasmian European Youth Parliament. The initiative was part of the activities for Turin European Youth Capital 2010 and was organized by teachers and students of the European International School Spinelli through co-financing of the MIUR, Regione Piemonte and City of Turin. The event was also attended by D'Azeglio liceo classico, two scientific high schools in Piedmont, the Galilei and the Peano Borgomanero of Cuneo, and a delegation of high school Duca d'Aosta Aquila. The objective

dell'EEYP, which met for the first time last year in Rotterdam, is to give kids an opportunity to immerse themselves in the role of MEPs and approach to the rules of world politics. The students worked for four days, divided into 12 committees, with the task of formulating a series of bills on the issue of environmental sustainability in cities.

The various measures were presented, discussed and approved by the General Assembly of the Parliament, made up of all students in plenary session. The resolutions were given to the mayor of Turin Sergio Chiamparino, and the mayor of Antwerp (the city that will host the EEYP in 2011), as well as representatives of the European Youth Forum. The event was also attended by the President of Regione Piemonte, Mercedes Bresso.

The whole event was self-administered (in English, official language) by young people with the support of teachers who had the task of ensuring that "distance" on the conduct of the program. In addition to EU students, participated in the work also a Swiss delegation and Turkish. In the preparation of bills each group of students was also supported by the advice of prominent figures from politics, business, culture and medicine. (For further details, click here .)

So far the news. But why talk about it in this blog? If you described the fact it seemed off topic, then continue to follow and understand ...

I was lucky enough to know that 6 of those guys and the members of the delegation Borgomanerese and I followed them along with a colleague last week of preparation the project would then be presented to the General Assembly. Working, albeit briefly, with those guys was a shock! With them I thought I found a lost world: the age of adolescence, an 'age' beautiful and terrible ', which, however, common sense tends to emphasize only the second aspect, that's terrible, especially in its first meaning of 'frightening' (and 'terrible' also encompasses the meaning of 'great, great'). We like to talk about teen sbantati and violent or, at best, a bored young people, resigned to survive, chronically immature, and too little effort is made to ensure that things will change. It searches for the culprit and does not propose solutions. And the first step toward a solution I think is to recognize the talent that these guys, they all have hidden in himself the talent of Youth.

All human beings are united by this talent, because we were all children. The only difference between us depends on how early we took diamenticati. The Talented Youth is the Future of the beholder in the eyes of those who feel that will change the world, who are passionate and concerned that he may die. And 'the talent of those who dream and fly' three meters above the sky '. Those who are fighting rebels and the obvious, the dogmas, rules unnecessary, those who still hoped there could be a better tomorrow. Who lives in a world of color. Here, I want it back that world, now that I've had a taste of the many colors available! I realized that I was also well used to living in a world in black and white, where diversity is measured on a scale of grays. Sure, maybe it will not suffer the hardships that life necessarily brings with it and we must recognize that reflexivity, calmness, moderation with advancing age have a role and their social significance, but on condition that you do not lose dialogue between generations and the voice of those not mature rises above the other in a sterile and boring monologue.

Unfortunately, we live in a country that has stopped listening to its young, no longer gives them examples, indoctrinate them at times, more frequent information, offers them a particularly bleak picture of the adult world and teaches barcamenrarcisi with cunning and cynicism. Certainly does not educate. We therefore latita adulthood and manifest the traits of a company pedofoba who has lost confidence in the future, refusing to invest in young people, to believe in them, in fact we give to our own future and for that planned suicide a few are the voices that proclaim their indignation. As an entrepreneur who feels responsible for the development of this country, I can only take note of this and share the thought that is not enough to just invest in young people after the studies are aimed at companies for a job. Of course, we must take care professionals to understand and develop their talents, but I think it's important to look for opportunities to support even the youngest, starting from teenagers, giving them space and opportunities for aggregation, not for the 'buzz' weekly, but so that they can develop their own passions, to test skills and knowledge - as it was during the project I mentioned above - and in so doing to talk with the adult world in a mutual give and receive constructive and vital.

The 6 guys I know are with precious gems great desire to have their say in this world. I am sure that there are many others like them, they read, studied with profit, they are curious all want to experience, not afraid of hard work, are enthusiastic, they live in the fullest sense of the word. So guys are the heart of a society that wants to survive and evolve. They are our children and help them grow, not educate, it's a crime he did not want to be complicit.
